Report: Tom Brady got four stitches around knuckle
Tom Brady’s hand injury has been the big topic of discussion leading up to Sunday’s AFC Championship Game.
Brady suffered a hand injury during Wednesday’s practice, which has led to all sorts of questions about the extent of the injury.
According to James Stewart, the producer of “Felger & Mazz” on 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston, host Michael Felger said Friday that Brady got four stitches around the knuckle on his throwing but should be fine.
Felger on Brady injury:
“No fracture. No ligament. Just a cut from hitting the buckle on someone’s helmet. Four stitches around the knuckle, should not affect him.— James Stewart (@IAmJamesStewart) January 19, 2018
Brady has been practicing with a glove on his hand this week.
The betting line for the game has been altered as a result of the injury. The Patriots began as 8.5-10 point favorites over the Jacksonville Jaguars. That line has dropped to 7 or 7.5 in many cases, indicating people believe the game will be closer than initially expected. Brady’s hand injury could be a big reason for that change.
