Tyreek Hill underwent major knee surgery on Tuesday after he suffered a gruesome injury in Week 4, and the Miami Dolphins star shared a positive update after the procedure.
Hill dislocated his left knee when he was tackled during the Dolphins’ 27-21 win over the New York Jets on Monday night at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Fla. His leg twisted underneath him as he was tackled by Jets safety Malachi Moore, and it was immediately clear that Hill had suffered a severe injury. You can see a video of the play here.
Hill sustained several torn ligaments and underwent surgery to repair them on Tuesday. His agent Drew Rosenhaus said the procedure was a success, and Hill reiterated that with a three-word message on social media Wednesday morning.
“Surgery went great,” Hill wrote on X along with a Bible passage.

Recovery from a torn ACL is usually 9-12 months for NFL players, with some returning sooner. Hill tore his ACL and other ligaments, however, and there have been doubts about whether he will be ready to play at the start of the 2026 season.
The 31-year-old Hill has no remaining injury guarantees on the three-year, $90 million extension he signed with the Dolphins prior to last season. There had already been rumors that he could be traded, so it is very possible that he has played his last snap in Miami.
