Clayton Kershaw bought Johnnie Walker to welcome Rams to L.A.

Clayton Kershaw no-hitter

Now that the Rams are in Los Angeles, they can reap the benefits that come with their new home. Among them, is sharing a town with the best pitcher in the world, who happens to very hospitable.

Clayton Kershaw made his debut with the Dodgers in 2008 and has become one of the more prominent members of the city’s sporting landscape since. So, it seems only fitting he would welcome the Rams after their move from St. Louis. The three-time National League Cy Young Award Winner did just that, purchasing bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label with the words “Welcome home! LA all day” on them for members of the team.

Kershaw certainly spared no expense as Blue Label can cost upwards of $200 per bottle. Not a bad welcoming gift, I’d say.

“To celebrate their return and welcome the Rams back to our city, it seemed fitting to send the team limited edition bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label: Year of the Ram,” Kershaw told ABC 7. “I look forward to watching them play for many seasons to come. Here’s to a new beginning, great success and a winning season.”

Last week, Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q stopped by Rams training camp. Now, Kershaw gifts them expensive whiskey. The perks of being in Los Angeles.
