Rapper Lil’ Wayne frequently attends NBA games, but he says he was denied by the team when he tried going to Game 3 of the Western Conference finals between the Thunder and Spurs in Oklahoma City on Thursday:
Was going to go to the Thunder game tonight but was denied by the team to be in their arena. Wow. Smh. Go Spurs!
— Lil Wayne WEEZY F (@LilTunechi) May 31, 2012

It’s unclear what led to his apparent denial, but Weezy is known to have had beef with athletes in the past.
Both Black Sports Online and Jocks and Stiletto Jill are speculating that his denial is related to a girlfriend issue; James Harden is reportedly dating rapper Trina, who is Lil’ Wayne’s ex, and the inspiration for Kenyon Martin’s hideous tattoo.
The Thunder say Lil’ Wayne’s representative contacted the team about getting courtside seats for the game, but they were told the seats were not available.
“We’d love to have him at a game, but like anyone else, he needs a ticket,” a Thunder spokesman told The Associated Press.
I guess Weezy isn’t as big-time as he thought he was. I thought LeBron James and Dwyane Wade taught him that lesson last year.
UPDATE: All is well — Kevin Durant is offering his player tickets to Lil’ Wayne.
