49ers player delivers a powerful message after agreeing to a $17 million contract
Eddy Pineiro is staying with the San Francisco 49ers for years to come.
The veteran kicker agreed to a 4-year, $17 million contract extension with the Niners, according to a report by Nick Wagoner of ESPN on Saturday.
One of the first things Pineiro did after news of his extension broke was to compose a heartfelt message that he shared on social media.
“First and foremost, all glory to God. None of this is possible without Him,” a grateful Pineiro wrote in a post on Instagram.
“I’m incredibly thankful to the coaches and the entire organization for believing in me and trusting me to continue this journey with you. Signing this contract Means the world to me and my family To the fans — thank you for the constant support and love. The work continues.”
Having proved himself as a dependable asset, Pineiro now looks to further impress San Franciso, which won 12 games in 2025.
Pineiro was initially signed by San Francisco after the team released kicker Jake Moody following a Week 1 win last season over the Seattle Seahawks.
The 49ers’ decision to go with Pineiro paid off for both sides. The Niners found stability at the kicker position with Pineiro, as he went 28-for-29 on his field goal attempts through 14 games. Conversely, he parlayed the opportunity into a multi-year contract, the biggest he’s ever received in his career, thus far.
Before joining the 49ers, the 30-year-old Pineiro played for the Chicago Bears, New York Jets and Carolina Panthers.
Ravens are giving their backup QB a big contract
The Baltimore Ravens are making sure they have a solid insurance policy behind Lamar Jackson going forward, and they are gladly paying for it.
The Ravens are re-signing quarterback Tyler Huntley to a new contract, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Huntley’s two-year deal is worth as much as $11 million.
Tyler “Snoop” Huntley is signing a two-year deal worth up to $11 million to return to the Baltimore Ravens, per his agent Drew Rosenhaus. pic.twitter.com/ES1pEwxzlu
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 7, 2026
Huntley’s new deal immediately makes him one of the highest-paid backup quarterbacks in the NFL, but the Ravens have good reason for wanting to reward him. While Jackson is not necessarily injury-prone, his style of play can lead to him getting banged up. Huntley has shown the ability to step in and win games when Jackson is not available, as he went 2-0 as a starter for them last season.
The Ravens have long viewed Huntley as a reliable backup. He even got an unlikely Pro Bowl nod three years ago. For all the jokes about that, having someone like Huntley who knows the playbook and is obviously trusted by the team can be worth its weight in gold.
Huntley has thrown for 13 touchdowns and 10 interceptions throughout his career, all as a backup. He does have a 5-5 career record as a starter for Baltimore.
Video: Chair-wielding fan almost causes a brawl after UTEP-Jacksonville State game
A fan tried to steal the spotlight following the wild ending to Saturday’s game between the UTEP Miners and the Jacksonville State Gamecocks at Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas.
As players from both sides gathered for the handshake line, an enraged UTEP fan suddenly picked up a chair and started shouting. It was not clear what triggered the fan’s outburst, but he surely disturbed the peace during what was supposedly a display of great sportsmanship between the two Conference USA teams.
The fan’s companion tried to hold him back, as others also tried to pacify the situation.
You can watch that wild moment here.

The fan probably forgot how to act properly in public after witnessing the shocking way the Miners lost to the visiting Gamecocks.
With seconds left in regulation and the score tied at 61-61, the Gamecocks brought the ball up the court. Jacksonville State sophomore guard attacked the gut of the Miners’ defense before making a kickout pass to senior guard Mostapha El Moutaouakkil, who took a wide-open shot from behind the arc. Moutaouakkil released the ball at the buzzer, hitting the shot to give the Gamecocks a 64-61 victory.

Everyone said the same thing about Anthony Edwards’ all-time starting 5
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Anthony Edwards is not shy about how he sees himself in the pantheon of NBA stars.
In a recent interview with Ahmad Rashad, Edwards was asked to name his all-time starting five. He named Steph Curry, Michael Jordan, and Kevin Durant, and debated between Hakeem Olajuwon and Shaquille O’Neal as his center. The fifth spot, however, went to himself.

Michael Jordan at the three.
KD at the four.
And at the five… 👀
Ant sat down with Ahmad Rashad and went through his all-time starting five! pic.twitter.com/dEDKgo6NQU
Most would probably disagree with Edwards slotting himself ahead of the likes of LeBron James and Kobe Bryant. They also, however, admired Edwards’ confidence, and said it was perfectly in line with his personality.
Edwards picking himself over Kobe and putting KD at the 4 is some next level confidence 😂🔥
— Blade (@BladeZimNZ) March 7, 2026
Ant really said 'the league ain't ready for me at the 2' and slotted himself next to MJ & KD like it's nothing Bold as hell, respect"

Ant putting himself in there with zero hesitation is the most Anthony Edwards thing ever 😂😂❤️🔥 Respect….
— #HeyItsRoxy (@roxyrashed3) March 7, 2026
It was not that long ago that people were still debating whether Edwards can claim to be the face of the NBA, a debate that continues today. Edwards, however, is confident in his own greatness, and has never made any apologies for it.
Edwards is only 24, but has already established himself as a superstar. He is averaging 29.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game this season, and could certainly find himself in the conversation as one of the greats if he keeps up his current trajectory.
Maxx Crosby still wants to retire as a Raider
Maxx Crosby has given his farewell to the Las Vegas Raiders in an emotional video in which he confessed he would still like to wear the uniform again someday.
In a 13-minute video, Crosby thanked everyone associated with the Raiders from ownership to fans after the team traded him to the Baltimore Ravens. He confessed to feeling like he “let y’all down” because the team was not more successful during his time there, but said he felt he “left everything I had on the table for this team.”
Crosby even took things a step further by saying he would still like to retire as a Raider when the time comes.
“I wanted everything good for the Raiders,” Crosby said. “I bleed silver and black. That will never change, and I’m a Raider for life. I truly want to finish, when it’s all said and done, in a Raiders jersey, whenever that time comes.”
— Maxx Crosby (@CrosbyMaxx) March 7, 2026
Raider fans are unlikely to feel that Crosby let them down, even if the team did. This is a player whose relationship with the organization fractured in part because they would not let him play through an injury in a largely meaningless game. The fact that he is already musing about wearing a Raiders uniform again less than 24 hours after being traded sums up how he feels about the organization.
Crosby, 28, collected 69.5 career sacks with the Raiders in seven seasons, even though the team only made the playoffs once during his time there. He will now join a contender in Baltimore and should have a real chance to make a deep playoff run.
Nicaragua players had awesome gesture for teammate who blew game
Team Nicaragua players had an awesome gesture for pitcher Angel Obando after he gave up a walk-off home run during Saturday’s World Baseball Classic contest.
Obando let a 3-1 Nicaragua lead slip away against the Netherlands on Saturday at loanDepot park in Miami, Fla., and gave up a three-run walk-off home run to Ozzie Albies for a 4-3 defeat. The loss left the Nicaraguans at 0-2 and in last place of the WBC’s Pool D.
After the devastating mistake, Obando was quickly comforted by his teammates, who flocked to the mound to try to console him. Several literally lifted him up off the mound and accompanied him off the field.

— FOX Sports: MLB (@MLBONFOX) March 7, 2026
There’s nothing unusual about seeing players comfort a teammate after a brutal mistake, but for relief pitchers, it usually happens once they return to the dugout. In this situation, many of Obando’s teammates went out of their way to make sure they were able to walk off the field with him.
This was the first walk-off home run in WBC history, so it was not the sort of memory Obando wanted to make. He threw 3.1 innings in the game and had kept the Dutch scoreless until the ninth.
Khris Middleton gets disciplined by the NBA over mouthpiece incident
Khris Middleton’s bank account is now a little bit lighter thanks to Thursday night’s mouthpiece incident.
The NBA announced on Saturday that they have fined the Dallas Mavericks forward Middleton a sum of $25,000. According to the league’s official release, Middleton threw his mouthpiece in the direction of the spectator stands during Thursday’s game against the Orlando Magic.
In the third quarter of the game at Kia Center in Orlando, Fla., Middleton was called for a loose ball foul after getting the ball poked away from him by Magic guard Jalen Suggs. Middleton did not like the foul call and proceeded to throw his mouthpiece.
In addition to the loose ball foul, Middleton received a technical foul for his outburst. It ended up being a costly point to give away too as the Magic went on to narrowly defeat the Mavericks by a final score of 115-114.
The three-time All-Star Middleton, 34, is in his first few weeks with Dallas after being acquired as part of last month’s Anthony Davis trade with the Washington Wizards. Since arriving on the Mavericks, Middleton has averaged 12.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.
With the March 1 buyout deadline for playoff eligibility having already passed, Middleton will be finishing out the season in Dallas. But after doing his best impression of Steph Curry, Middleton will now have to pay a five-figure fine to the NBA league office.
Packers acquire a former All-Pro defender in trade with Colts
Micah Parsons may be out of commission, but the Green Bay Packers’ defense will still be looking formidable.
The Packers are acquiring former All-Pro linebacker Zaire Franklin in a trade with the Indianapolis Colts, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported on Saturday. The Colts are getting back veteran defensive tackle Colby Wooden in a pure player-for-player swap, Schefter adds.
Franklin, 29, is a former seventh-round pick who had been with the Colts since his NFL career began in 2018. He made a Pro Bowl team and earned an All-Pro selection in 2024, also leading the entire league in combined tackles that year with 173.
Last season for Indianapolis, Franklin started in all 17 games, recording 125 combined tackles, 2.0 sacks, five passes defended, and a forced fumble. But his contract carries a cap hit of $8.26 million in 2026 and $10.26 million in 2027, which the Colts are now moving off.
As for the Packers, they had a top-12 defense in the NFL last season with 311.8 yards allowed per game. Though the five-time Pro Bowler Parsons, who was Green Bay’s major trade acquisition last offseason, is currently out with a torn ACL, the addition of Franklin means that the Packers’ defense should remain stout in 2026.
Green Bay is parting with ways with Wooden, who started 16 total games for them last season, in order to acquire Franklin. The ex-Syracuse standout Franklin is also an outspoken personality, which should make him a strong fit in the middle of the defense for the NFC North runner-up Packers.
Dak Prescott and fiancee Sarah Jane Ramos break up just before their wedding
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and fiancee Sarah Jane Ramos have split up just one month before their planned wedding, according to media reports.
Prescott and Ramos recently broke up after an argument at their joint bachelor and bachelorette parties in the Bahamas, according to TMZ. Ramos ultimately decided to call off the wedding, and the relationship is said to be beyond repair.
The relationship between Prescott and Ramos was reportedly rocky for months even before the argument, but the two had still planned to go through with the wedding. On Feb. 23, she posted on social media that she “can’t wait to marry the love of my life,” but that post has since been deleted.
Prescott and Ramos had been together since 2023, and Prescott publicly announced their engagement in October 2024. The pair share two daughters, including one who is nearly 10 months old.
Prescott, 32, has been linked to a number of women over the course of his NFL career. Ramos appeared to be his most well-known and serious relationship of them all, though it will only have lasted roughly three years in total.
Dan Hurley bumps referee and gets ejected during epic meltdown
UConn head coach Dan Hurley had a classic meltdown on Saturday that included him bumping a referee and admonishing one of his own assistants for trying to intervene.
The Huskies were trailing 64-62 against the Marquette Golden Eagles on Saturday at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisc. but had the ball with 11 seconds left and a chance to tie or take the lead. UConn’s Silas Demary tried to drive to the basket and drew contact, but no foul was called and the Golden Eagles came down with the rebound.
An irate Hurley confronted referee Greg Evans and seemingly made physical contact with him while protesting the lack of a foul call. Hurley already had a technical foul from earlier in the game and was immediately tossed.
Hurley was determined to get his money’s worth. He even seemed to admonish assistant coach Kimani Young for trying to get between him and the referee.

Dan Hurley is ejected with just under 1 second left to play! pic.twitter.com/znrwGEPpLo
Marquette made the most of the four ensuing free throws and won the game 68-62.
Hurley is one of the best coaches in the country, but he is also infamous for his short temper. This is hardly the first time he has lost his composure in a situation like this, and if anything, this was a pretty classic Hurley meltdown.
UConn does not have that much to worry about, as they are 27-4 even after the loss. The Big East might discipline him for the start of the conference tournament for bumping the official, though.
Lamar Jackson may have tipped off the Maxx Crosby trade early
Lamar Jackson sparked a number of “Did he know?” memes after this week’s big trade news.
The Baltimore Ravens pulled off a seismic move on Friday night by trading for star pass rusher Maxx Crosby of the Las Vegas Raiders. Baltimore agreed to acquire Crosby in exchange for a rich haul of draft-pick compensation.
In the wake of the news, a post to X by the Ravens star quarterback Jackson drew attention. Earlier in the day on Friday, Jackson posted a cryptic message with a GIF of Denzel Washington’s character in the film “Training Day” saying, “Boom.”
The two-time NFL MVP Jackson also included a happy-face emoji in the post. Take a look.
— Lamar Jackson (@Lj_era8) March 6, 2026
It makes sense that the Ravens would have potentially consulted Jackson before making the move. The 29-year-old signal caller is still Baltimore’s franchise player, and the deal for Crosby involved a heavy cost of future picks.
But the Ravens clearly believe that the five-time Pro Bowler Crosby, who already has career 69.5 sacks at 28 years of age, is worth the haul. While Baltimore fired longtime head coach John Harbaugh and replaced him with Jesse Minter (while also parting ways with one of Jackson’s favorite assistant coaches), it appears that Jackson is very much on board with the team’s blockbuster trade for Crosby.
Bruce Pearl had to awkwardly interview Miami’s head coach
Less than a week after drawing the ire of the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks, Bruce Pearl found himself interviewing their head coach on Saturday.
Pearl, now working for TNT Sports, got to ask a question of Miami head coach Travis Steele one day after Steele and the RedHawks capped off a 31-0 regular season. It also came roughly a week after Pearl suggested the RedHawks would not deserve an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament if they were to lose in the MAC Tournament.
Pearl had a good sense of humor about the situation, and even made light of how much Miami fans hate him right now. Steele just sort of grinned along.
“I kind of feel like you’re Cinderella and I’m the ugly stepmother,” Pearl said. “I’ve also said teams are going to win their way in or they’re going to lose their way out. You guys have won your way in, and all you’ve got to do is go ‘BP, scoreboard.’ You know I’ve been rooting for you. I’m proud of you.”
"It's a Super Bowl everywhere we're going."@MiamiOH_BBall HC Travis Steele and @coachbrucepearl talked the RedHawks' 31-0 regular season 👏 pic.twitter.com/6Nq8ZTEZ1f
— TNT Sports U.S. (@TNTSportsUS) March 7, 2026
Pearl’s original comments drew the ire of Miami’s athletic director, who accused Pearl of inappropriate bias and questioned why the former Auburn coach is on the air. Steele also addressed Pearl’s comments, though he did so a bit more diplomatically.
Miami moved to 31-0 on Friday after a dramatic overtime win against Ohio, with things spiraling out of control after the game. The RedHawks can eliminate all debate by winning the MAC Tournament, but will likely be the subject of heated debate before Selection Sunday if they are toppled before then.
Sean Payton had the best reaction to the Maxx Crosby trade
Few people were more excited about the Las Vegas Raiders’ trade of Maxx Crosby than Denver Broncos coach Sean Payton.
FOX Sports insider Jay Glazer revealed that Payton had texted him in celebration after news broke that Crosby was heading to the Baltimore Ravens. The Denver Broncos coach even added that he had texted Crosby jokingly offering to pay for the star edge rusher’s one-way plane ticket to Baltimore.
Payton made it very clear, of course, that this was all in jest.
“You are an inspiration to watch and compete against,” Payton said he told Crosby.
Sean Payton called me soooo fired up the Raiders traded Maxx Crosby and even just texted Maxx saying he’s offering to pay a private plane one-way flight to Baltimore, happy to see him out of the division. Funny
— Jay Glazer (@JayGlazer) March 7, 2026
But also added, “You are an inspiration to watch and compete…
Payton will be understandably thrilled to see Crosby leaving the AFC West. The 28-year-old edge rusher has 69.5 career sacks, and 16.5 of them have come against Denver. Bo Nix will be relieved not to have to deal with that anymore.
Unfortunately for the Broncos, Crosby is not leaving the AFC entirely. Still, Payton will be feeling better about this move than Joe Burrow undoubtedly will be.
Cowboys forced to make unusual move with Brandon Aubrey
The Dallas Cowboys have been forced to take unusual action to keep Brandon Aubrey in the fold for another season.
The Cowboys placed a second-round tender on Aubrey, who was a restricted free agent. That means any team can make Aubrey a contract offer, but the Cowboys will have the right to match it, and will receive a second-round pick if they decline to.
Aubrey and the Cowboys had been in talks to make him the highest-paid kicker in the NFL, but according to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports, talks broke down as the two sides failed to agree on just how much Aubrey was worth.
The Cowboys have had a deal on the table that would make Aubrey the highest paid kicker in the league, but both sides couldn’t agree on just how much higher he should be paid.
— Jonathan Jones (@jjones9) March 7, 2026
It’s highly uncommon for a kicker to get such a high tender, but this was the expected outcome when contract talks moved slowly. It is fairly unlikely that any other team will be willing to give up a second-rounder for Aubrey, and even if one did, the Cowboys would almost certainly match their offer anyway.
One can easily understand why the Cowboys value Aubrey so highly. The three-time Pro Bowl selection is one of the most reliable kickers in the game, and one of the best from distance. He went 36/42 on field goal tries last year, and is 35/44 in his career from 50 yards or greater.
Reports had stated the Cowboys and Aubrey were roughly $4 million apart in contract talks. That does not seem like a huge gap, but for a kicker, it’s an enormous discrepancy that the two sides could not sort out.
Kyle Pitts calls out NFL players who did not attend Rondale Moore’s memorial service
Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts called out the many NFL players who did not attend Rondale Moore’s memorial service on Friday.
Pitts posted to his Instagram story after attending Moore’s celebration of life, noting that only six or seven of Moore’s NFL teammates were in attendance. He took a shot at those who “just want to throw up a post and not mean it” and suggested some of those that paid tribute to Moore showed “fake emotion” in doing so.
“Crazy how only 6 maybe 7 of your teammates in the NFL showed up for you today,” Pitts wrote. “All that talk and fake emotion and nobody want to show up to lay you to rest. Just at a loss for words.”

It was not stated which of Moore’s former NFL teammates did show up for the memorial.
Moore died suddenly in February, with authorities believing the Minnesota Vikings wide receiver died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. A number of current and former teammates paid tribute to the wide receiver on social media but apparently did not make plans to attend the memorial.
Moore’s teammates were not the only ones who drew criticism for their tributes to the wide receiver.
Tarik Skubal says Tigers never made a long-term offer
Detroit Tigers ace Tarik Skubal, a two-time AL Cy Young Award winner, confirmed that the team did not present any long-term contract offer during the offseason.
In an interview with USA Today Sports, Skubal addressed his impending free agency after the 2026 season, stating bluntly that negotiations never even got off the ground.
“There is no offer,” Skubal told USA Today Sports, “and there won’t be an offer until the end of the season. … My focus is on playing baseball and winning this year. I’ll deal with the contract stuff at the end of the year, and then we’ll kind of see. And that’s fine. It’s their decision.”
The Tigers’ only previous long-term proposal came two years ago, reportedly for less than $80 million.
This offseason, discussions stalled amid a significant arbitration dispute. Skubal filed for salary arbitration, seeking a record $32 million for 2026, while the Tigers offered $19 million—a $13 million gap described as unprecedented in arbitration history. Skubal ultimately won the case, securing the highest arbitration award ever for a player and setting a new benchmark for starting pitchers.
Despite the lack of extension talks, Skubal remains committed to the Tigers’ goals, emphasizing his desire to win a World Series for Detroit, the team that drafted him in 2018.
The Tigers have strengthened their roster with additions like Framber Valdez and Justin Verlander, fueling optimism for contention.
Earlier reports suggested the club might consider trading Skubal if a strong return materializes, given the wide gap in extension expectations—potentially $250 million or more, with Skubal projected to command at least $400 million in free agency, which would shatter records for a pitcher.
For now, Skubal is prioritizing performance and team success in 2026, including a limited role with Team USA in the World Baseball Classic.
High School hockey goalie makes jaw-dropping save
In the Class A semifinal of the Minnesota high school boys hockey state tournament on Friday at Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul, Mahtomedi goalie Jackson Chesak delivered a spectacular play that has drawn widespread attention as a candidate for save of the year.
With the score 3-1 in favor of top-seeded Hibbing/Chisholm late in the third period (around 1:15 remaining), Mahtomedi pulled Chesak for an extra attacker in a desperate push to close the gap. As he skated toward the bench, a loose puck led to a sudden counterattack by Hibbing/Chisholm.
Chesak quickly reversed direction, raced back to the crease, and executed a timely diving poke check to deny the empty-net attempt, preserving a two-goal deficit momentarily and keeping his team’s hopes alive.
Despite the heroics, Hibbing/Chisholm held on for a 4-2 victory, adding an empty-net goal and allowing a late consolation tally from Mahtomedi.
Chesak finished with 37 saves on 41 shots in a valiant effort, including a strong third period where he turned aside numerous high-quality chances to give the fourth-seeded Zephyrs a fighting chance against the eventual finalists.
White House panel targets NIL mess in college athletics
President Donald Trump hosted a roundtable discussion titled “Saving College Sports” in the White House East Room on Friday, gathering about 50 leaders from politics, sports, and academia to address turmoil in collegiate athletics.
The nearly two-hour meeting focused on issues like Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals, player transfers, conference realignments, and the erosion of educational priorities amid economic pressures.
Panelists, including former coaches Nick Saban and Urban Meyer, NCAA President Charlie Baker, and conference commissioners such as Greg Sankey of the SEC, highlighted the chaos caused by unregulated NIL collectives, which Meyer labeled as “cheating” and unauthorized pay-for-play.
“Donors put money in a pot. It’s distributed to the players through coaches and managers. That’s not allowed. Not supposed to do that. That’s pay-for-play,” Meyer said, via ESPN.
Saban emphasized the need to restore focus on education, noting that discussions rarely mention academics anymore. Concerns extended to Olympic and women’s sports, with U.S. Olympic CEO Sarah Hirshland warning that unsustainable investments threaten the athlete pipeline for Team USA.
Trump pledged to issue an “all-encompassing” executive order within one week to resolve every problem raised, acknowledging potential lawsuits but committing to action. He stressed the importance of federal legislation, like the SCORE Act, to regulate NIL and maintain college sports’ integrity.
“I will have an executive order within one week, and it will be very all-encompassing,” Trump said. “And we’re going to put it forward, and we’re going to get sued, and we’re going to see how it plays, OK, but I’ll have an executive order, which will solve every problem in this room, every conceivable problem, within one week, and we’ll put it forward. We will get sued. That’s the only thing I know for sure.”
Absent student-athletes were deemed well-represented by advocates.
“They’re very well-represented,” Trump said. “You know why? Because people like Nick Saban and Urban Meyer, all of the people that I know in the room — and the people probably I don’t know — they all care very much about the student-athlete more so than they care about themselves, so I think they’re really here. In that sense, they’re represented very well here.”
Commissioners urged swift congressional help to prevent further fracturing.
Historic perfect season for Miami (OH) ends in disgusting scene
The Miami (OH) RedHawks capped a historic undefeated regular season with a thrilling overtime victory over rival Ohio Bobcats, finishing 31-0. The game, already charged by the in-state rivalry and Miami’s earlier frustrations with external critics, boiled over in the aftermath.
Trailing by two with seconds left in regulation, Ohio missed a potential game-tying shot, sending the contest to overtime. Miami pulled ahead late in the extra period, sealing the win, 110-108, and preserving their perfect record, a first in program history.
Post-game mayhem erupted as frustrated Ohio fans hurled trash onto the court toward the celebrating RedHawks players, who egged them on with some middle fingers.
Tensions escalated with scuffles between teams and taunts exchanged, including some Miami players responding defiantly. Ohio forward Aidan Hadaway was notably sent back to the locker room, skipping the handshake line amid the chaos.
Videos captured objects flying and heated confrontations, drawing descriptions of the ending as “disgusting” from observers.
The rivalry’s intensity was amplified by Miami’s lingering chip on their shoulder from earlier comments by Bruce Pearl, who questioned their NCAA Tournament worthiness despite the unbeaten mark, prompting sharp rebukes from the school’s athletic director and head coach.
Tom Brady has hilarious 4-word reaction to Logan Paul-Le’Veon Bell fight
Tom Brady, the retired NFL legend known for his cool demeanor under pressure, just dropped one of his most relatable reactions yet.
When news broke that YouTube star-turned-boxer and WWE star Logan Paul and former NFL running back Le’Veon Bell had agreed to a $1 million boxing match, Brady couldn’t resist chiming in on X with four simple words.
The self-deprecating quip had fans cracking up, as it perfectly captured Brady’s mock guilt over the whole spectacle.
It all traces back to some trash talk between Brady and Paul that apparently snowballed into this heavyweight showdown. During an appearance on Paul’s Impaulsive podcast ahead of the Super Bowl, Brady described Paul’s WWE career as “cute” but suggested the influencer lacked the grit for real NFL competition.
Paul, never one to back down, fired back by hyping WWE’s athletic demands and even claiming most NFL players would flop in a wrestling ring.
That back-and-forth escalated when Paul issued a bold challenge: $1 million to any active NFL player who could beat him in the boxing ring. Several current players responded, but it was retired All-Pro Le’Veon Bell—who’s already dabbled in pro boxing with a 2-1 record—who called Paul’s bluff, accusing him of ducking real fighters.
After some negotiation, Bell approved the terms, reportedly including 10-ounce gloves, no headgear, and three-minute rounds until someone quits. The bout appears set for next weekend, though skeptics still wonder if Paul might find an exit strategy.
Brady’s “Is this my fault?” lands like classic deadpan humor, as if his offhand comment about toughness accidentally sparked a celebrity-vs-ex-NFL slugfest. It’s the kind of understated roast that reminds everyone why Brady’s post-retirement commentary hits different—equal parts humble and savage.
Whether the fight actually happens or fizzles into more social media drama, Brady has already won the internet with his perfectly timed accountability dodge. Who knew quarterbacking beef could lead to such entertaining chaos?
