AJ McCarron, Katherine Webb wedding pictures

AJ McCarron and Katherine Webb tied the knot back in July, but the couple did a great job of keeping the photos from the big day hidden. It’s usually only a matter of days before the internet gets ahold of athlete/celebrity wedding photos, yet here we are two months later and getting our first glimpse.

It looks like Webb and McCarron had an exclusive deal with Extra for the photos. The new Mrs. McCarron began sharing a bunch on Twitter and Instagram on Monday. Here are some more:

Hard Rock waitress complains Floyd Mayweather left her no tip at pool party

Floyd Mayweather moneyA waitress at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas complains that boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his entourage stiffed her for a tip after partying there on Sunday, the day after Floyd’s victory over Marcos Maidana at the MGM.

According to TMZ, the waitress, Nik Nguyen, says Mayweather and about 150 people in his party — including actor Jamie Foxx — ordered just over $25,000 worth of goodies and did not leave her a tip. Keep in mind that the Hard Rock comped them what they ordered, which included:

5 bottles of Patron – $2,375
3 Grey Goose – $1,425
6 bottles of Ciroc – $2,850
20 bottles of Luc champagne – $11,500
1 6-liter bottle of Luc – $6,500
200 chicken wings – $600
1 fruit platter – $55

The total for the tab was $25,305.

Even if you get comped your bill, you should still tip your server. Everyone knows that.

We’ll go ahead and give Floyd and his entourage the benefit of the doubt here and figure not leaving a tip was just an oversight. Maybe when you have 150 people, they all think someone else will take care of it. Then again, when your nickname is “Money” and you own a $50,000 diamond-encrusted iPod, you shouldn’t be shy about sharing your dough.

Venus Williams reportedly bothered by Serena’s partying

Venus Serena Williams

Venus Williams reportedly is bothered by all the partying of her sister Serena and that has supposedly created a rift between them.

The New York Post’s Page Six quotes an “insider” as a source for their report, which was published Wednesday evening.

“They’re not in a good place right now. Venus is angry with Serena,” an insider supposedly said during the US Open, according to Page Six.

Page Six says the sisters did not arrive together or acknowledge the other’s presence at a Taste of Tennis kickoff event prior to the US Open, which they cite as further evidence of the rift. They also point to the Instagram accounts of the sisters as additional evidence; it’s been a few months since either sister appeared in a photo on the other’s account.

While I hardly believe the Instagram part as evidence of the supposed rift, I can completely believe the overall report. Venus has been the quieter one of the two for several years and rarely makes headlines off the court. Serena, on the other hand, is often the subject of reports and even supposedly cancelled television engagements on Monday morning because she was out late celebrating her US Open win the day before. Maybe the two just have different lifestyles; siblings often do.

If they do have issues with each other, it hasn’t kept them from competing together as doubles teammates. They reached the quarterfinals of the US Open before losing, and they were knocked out early at Wimbledon when Serena displayed some bizarre, inexplicable behavior.

Caroline Wozniacki ‘shocked’ by way Rory McIlroy broke up with her

Caroline Wozniacki confirmed the long reported truth about her breakup with Rory McIlroy: it came in the form of a phone call from her ex-boyfriend and left her in shock.

Woz talked about her May breakup with McIlroy in an interview with Yahoo Sports’ Graham Bensinger.

“Oh, I was shocked,” Wozniacki said of the phone call breakup. “I thought at least I would get a face-to-face or something, but there was nothing. It was just a phone call and I did not hear from him again. It was kind of like that. Just kind of ended. I think I was just in a shocked phase after that.”

Despite the public embarrassment from the breakup — which came after the two had already sent out wedding invitations — Wozniacki doesn’t appear to have any regrets.

“That’s a chapter in my life I’ve learned a lot from it,” Wozniacki told Bensinger. “I definitely learned a lot about myself, about relationships. I’ve learned you have to take life as it goes. … I’ve moved on.”

And for the remaining single men who have interest in her, Wozniacki shared what she looks for in a guy.

“I look for someone who’s honest, who’s fun to be around, who doesn’t take himself too seriously.”

She also got in a little zinger on Rory.

“I would like a taller guy so I can wear my heels.”

Ouch. That’s the second time now that Woz has taken a shot at Rory’s height since their breakup. I think she’s hit her max.

Though painful, the breakup was probably for the best. Both athletes have been performing extremely well since the relationship ended.

Josie Harris says Floyd Mayweather deleted her Instagram account over tell-all book

Josie Harris

Josie Harris lost her Instagram account for a handful of days, and she says Floyd Mayweather was behind the move because he wants to silence her.

Harris, who has three children with Mayweather and was the victim in the assault case that led to Mayweather being jailed in 2012, said on Twitter Sept. 4 that her Instagram account had been deleted. Harris believes Mayweather shut down her account to silence her from promoting her upcoming tell-all book about her relationship with him.

Harris rarely uses her Twitter account because Instagram is her preferred social media network, but she started using Twitter frequently while her account was disabled.

On Tuesday, Harris implied on Twitter that Floyd was behind her Instagram account being deleted:

Harris’ Instagram account was reinstated Tuesday after she sent an email to the social media company.

Bossip, which posted a copy of Harris’ email, says Harris is considering legal action against Mayweather. They say Harris believes Mayweather has a contact at Instagram who helps him shut down accounts. Bossip noted that both Shantel Jackson and Princess Love — two ex-girlfriends of Floyd — had their accounts shut down after getting on his bad side.

Martina Navratilova and girlfriend Julia Lemigova got engaged at US Open

Women’s tennis legend Martina Navratilova proposed to her longtime girlfriend Julia Lemigova at the US Open on Saturday. Navratilova, a former World No. 1 and winner of 18 Grand Slam titles, got down on one knee and asked Lemigova to marry her.

“We’ve been together six years and I can’t imagine my life without you,” Navratilova said to the former beauty queen, according to the New York Post’s Page Six. “Please marry me.”

Lemigova said yes and the two embraced. The proposal, which came after Japan’s Kei Nishikori stunned Novak Djokovic in the men’s semi-finals, was shown on the stadium jumbotrons. The Post reports that Navratilova and Lemigova plan to marry “as soon as possible.” The couple lives in Coconut Grove, Fla. but will travel to Miami-Dade, where gay marriage is legal, for their wedding.

“Martina wants to hold the wedding there to campaign for gay marriage equality in Florida and elsewhere,” the Post’s source said.

Lemigova and Navratilova have dated for years. Lemigova was by the former tennis player’s side when she battled breast cancer in 2010. Navratilova, who works as an analyst for the Tennis Channel, is very active within the gay community and an influential advocate for gay rights.

Matt Harvey pretending he didn’t try to meet Genie Bouchard

Genie Bouchard selfie

Matt Harvey likes the pretty ladies. The 25-year-old righthander has been linked to a number of models over the past year or so, and he may have recently set his sights on one of the most popular young tennis players in the world.

According to the New York Post’s Page Six, Harvey’s people tried to set up a meeting between the New York Mets pitcher and 20-year-old Canadian tennis star Genie Bouchard at the US Open earlier this week. Unfortunately, Bouchard was sent home on Monday after she lost to Ekaterina Makarova in the fourth round.

Naturally, Harvey’s representative claims lover boy wasn’t interested in Bouchard.

“We requested tickets for a few games,” the rep told the Post. “Once the requests were in, he was approached about potentially meeting her after her match. That meeting never took place.”

Bouchard needed a medical timeout to treat dizziness and exhaustion in the sweltering heat during her match against Makarova, so she probably wasn’t up to meeting any star athletes after being bounced. Plus, Harvey has nothing on Bouchard’s schoolgirl crush.

Harvey’s people can play it down all they want, but we all know he wanted it. We don’t blame you, Matt. Genie is a cutie. Sorry it hasn’t worked out yet.
