Report: DeMarco Murray went to Eagles owner to whine about Chip Kelly’s offense

DeMarco Murray

DeMarco Murray played just 14 snaps in the Philadelphia Eagles’ win over the New England Patriots on Sunday, and he is not happy about it.

According to ESPN’s Ed Werder, Murray recently went to Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie to express frustration over the way he is being used in Chip Kelly’s offense.

It’s pretty amazing how quickly the relationship between Murray and Kelly has deteriorated after the Eagles spent $40 million — $18 million guaranteed — to sign the former Cowboys star. Aside from a couple of good games, Murray’s first season in Philly has been a complete disaster. He’s averaging just 3.5 yards per carry and has hardly been part of the gameplan in certain matchups, which was the case against New England.

Last month, an anonymous Eagles player had some negative things to say about Murray’s level of effort. We can’t imagine Murray’s teammates will appreciate him complaining about his personal stats after the biggest win of the season. Believe it or not, he’s actually not the only player who raised a stink about his role during a win last week.
