LeSean McCoy: I really don’t like Osi Umenyiora, he’s a ‘ballerina’

LeSean McCoy and Osi Umenyiora have hurled so much trash talk back and forth over the past two seasons that it’s gotten to the point where people wonder if they are joking. Are these two actually best friends who are just toying with all of us and laughing every time we write something about their feud? If that’s the case, they are doing a terrific job of acting.

In an E:60 special that is scheduled to air on Tuesday night, McCoy opens up about the war of words and insists he genuinely dislikes Umenyiora. The highlight has to be when McCoy calls Osi a “ballerina in a Giants uniform,” but he also had the following to say.

“Yeah this is for real — like I don’t like Osi,” McCoy said according to the NY Daily News. “I don’t know how he feels. He might think it’s a game, but I don’t play them type of games. So every time on the field I would say stuff to him like ‘You is a bum … You are the third best defensive lineman on the defense.’ Which I didn’t lie.

“Wait, I did lie. He’s the fourth now, so I actually did lie.”

And the beat goes on. Osi has said McCoy crossed the line with his smack talk in the past, so it will be interesting to see where he ranks these insults. The last real shot that we know of was back in May when Umenyiora wished McCoy a Happy Mother’s day on Twitter, so both of them have been asking for it. We’re glad they have. The Umenyiora-McCoy verbal war makes an already great rivalry between the Giants and Eagles that much better.
