America’s Favorite Jewish Athlete Teaches Hebrew on Sesame Street (Video)

A few days after it was reported that Amare Stoudemire was interested in opening a Hebrew school, the dude showed up on Sesame Street to teach the audience some Hebrew. Actually, all he did was say the word “Tov,” which means good. But wait: he did use Tov in three different ways. Fancy! Video:

I’m sure I’m not the only one who finds it curious that Amare Stoudemire suddenly became interested in his Jewish roots the moment he signed with the Knicks. No coincidence that New York City happens to have a huge Jewish population worth marketing towards, right? And there’s absolutely nothing disingenuous about bragging that your Star of David tattoo shows your commitment to the faith, without realizing that tattoos are against the religion, right?

But hey, who am I to ruin his awakening? Carry on Amare, carry on.
