Aaron Judge says there was no fan interference on Martinez home run
Aaron Judge will not blame fan interference for JD Martinez’s game-winning home run on Thursday.
Martinez went opposite field for a solo home run that gave the Boston Red Sox a 5-4 lead over the New York Yankees in the eighth inning. The ball barely got out of the park, with a fan even reaching over and catching the ball to aid the homer. Here’s a look at the video:

After the game, Judge said there was no interference despite making contact with the fan. Judge also took responsibility for not making a better play.
Judge said no interference on HR ball: "I ran into him (the fan) but once you get past that (invisible) line, it’s fair game. For me, if I get a better read and jump at the right time and get in a better position I make the play."

Would Judge have been able to rob the homer if the fan didn’t reach out for the catch? That’s possible, but we’ll never know and he’s not blaming anyone for the play not going his way. This replay makes it seem like he was just a beat late.
