Carmelo Anthony, still in NBA exile, popped up at Madison Square Garden on Sunday evening.
Technically a member of the Chicago Bulls, Anthony was at the Garden to watch the New York Knicks host the Miami Heat in Dwyane Wade’s second-to-last appearance in New York.

Anthony was clearly there to see Wade, who he greeted prior to tipoff.

The Heat are slated to play in New York on March 30, which would be Wade’s final appearance at MSG. Anthony, however, probably hopes he’ll be with an NBA team by then. He’s hinted at being eager to resume his career, and the consensus is that the Bulls will eventually waive him, allowing him to catch on with another organization around or after the trade deadline.
