Damian Lillard responds to trolling Thunder fan
It’s been ten months since Damian Lillard eliminated the Oklahoma City Thunder from the playoffs with an epic game-winning shot, and Thunder fans still aren’t over it.
One Thunder fan retweeted a post pointing out that the Thunder are exceedingly likely to finish ahead of Lillard’s Portland Trail Blazers this season, trolling Lillard by saying that he would “need to see some more of that waving.”
Lillard noticed and responded perfectly.
The fact that y’all can’t let this go just shows how bad it hurt your heart . You’re having a great season https://t.co/ad0CPL2Jel

Lillard’s now-famous wave essentially ended an entire era of the Thunder franchise, as Paul George and Russell Westbrook were both traded afterwards. The Thunder have recovered brilliantly and are 36-22, but Lillard’s right — that moment hurt them a lot. The fact that they’re still tweeting about it ten months later when their team is doing well is indicative of that.
