Elfrid Payton, Jaren Jackson Jr. suspended for Grizzlies-Knicks skirmish
The NBA on Thursday announced discipline for those involved in the skirmish between the Memphis Grizzlies and New York Knicks.
Knicks guard Elfrid Payton was suspended one game. So were Memphis’ Jaren Jackson Jr. and Marko Guduric, who were suspended for leaving the bench.
Marcus Morris was fined $35,000, and Jae Crowder was fined $25,000.
The fight began when Payton pushed Crowder for attempting a three-pointer after getting a steal in the final minute. Payton felt Crowder was being disrespectful by bombing the three-pointer with Memphis already up by 18.
