Jamal Crawford calling for Lakers to sign him after loss in season opener?
Jamal Crawford may have been smelling an opportunity after the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss to kick off the 2019-20 NBA season.
The Lakers fell to the rival LA Clippers on Tuesday by the final of 112-102, and after the game, the former Sixth Man of the Year posted an interesting tweet.
“Bron and AD are great, like the Lakers shooters,” Crawford wrote. “BUT feels like they’re missing another scoring creator…”

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that Crawford was probably referring to himself, and Twitter quickly called him on it.
I see what you did there

The 39-year-old Crawford, who averaged 7.9 points and 3.6 assists per game last season for the Phoenix Suns, remains unsigned. While he obviously fits the mold of that scoring creator in theory, his weaknesses, particularly on defense, seem to greatly outweigh his strengths at this point of his career.
Still, you can’t blame Crawford for shooting his metaphorical shot, especially with the number of people who believe that he still belongs in the league.
