Harrison Barnes opted out of his contract with the Sacramento Kings last week, but it looks increasingly likely that the two sides will stay together.
According to Marc Stein of the New York Times, the Kings are preparing to offer Barnes a new four-year deal worth just shy of $90 million.
I've heard the same as Sacramento's own @CarmichaelDave: The Kings intend to offer Harrison Barnes a four-year deal worth nearly $90 million when free agency opens Sunday at 6 PM ET https://t.co/SPrE4LDhhZ

Barnes declined a $25.1 million option in search of a max deal. If he takes this offer, he’ll be making a bit less annually, but will get the security of a four-year deal in a place he appeared to be comfortable.
Barnes averaged 14.3 points per game with Sacramento after he moved there in a trade in February.
