Los Angeles Clippers big man Marreese Speights was in the news Wednesday for comments he supposedly made about Draymond Green hurting team chemistry back when they were teammates on the Golden State Warriors. The only problem is that Speights appears to be denying ever making those comments in the first place.
Shortly after he was quoted in a piece by Ethan Sherwood Strauss of ESPN discussing Green’s negative impact on the team behind closed doors, Speights attempted to set the record straight on Twitter.
People will say anything these days smh!!!

You can read what Speights allegedly had to say about Green here.
Green is well-known for his brash, almost corrosive style of vocal leadership for the Warriors. But still, it just doesn’t seem likely that Speights would throw his ex-teammate under the bus like that, especially after going into metaphorical battle with him for three seasons and emerging with an NBA title and the all-time regular season wins record.
