Pelicans reportedly open to trading Jrue Holiday
The New Orleans Pelicans reportedly are open to trading Jrue Holiday.
Reporter Jordan Brenner said on Twitter Thursday that the Pelicans have been gauging the trade market for Holiday. He notes that the team loves Holiday but want to see what the market is for the guard.
Doesn't mean they're likely to trade him; they're gauging his value and doing due diligence. Still, they have reached out to teams.

New Orleans received a trade demand from Anthony Davis this week, so it makes sense for them to see what a full rebuild might look like. The Pelicans have already scrubbed Davis from their team intro video and may be prepared to move on without him ahead of the Feb. 7 trade deadline.
Holiday is in the second season of a 5-year, $131 million contract. He’s been with the franchise since 2013 and is averaging 21.2 points and 8.0 assists per game.
