The Golden State Warriors and Oracle Arena nearly had a catastrophe and lawsuit on their hands during Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night.
At the start of third quarter, Toronto Raptors analyst Leo Rautins, who was announcing the game for Sportsnet in Canada, shared that he had nearly been hit by a light falling from the Oracle Arena ceiling. You can watch his description of the incident and see what the falling light looked like:

“I’m trying to stay alive right here,” Rautins said. “I’m not kidding you, folks. There’s a light from the ceiling that came down and landed right here.”
The arena was opened in 1966 and is the oldest in the NBA. The Warriors are moving to San Francisco and will play at the new Chase Center beginning next season, a move that now seems quite timely.
