Doug Gottlieb hired as head coach for college basketball team
Longtime ESPN and FOX Sports analyst Doug Gottlieb has been hired for a Division I head coaching job.
Gottlieb was hired to fill the coaching vacancy at Green Bay. Green Bay was looking for a new coach after previous coach Sundance Wicks left to take over at Wyoming.

Gottlieb is a well-known figure to college basketball fans. After playing stints at Notre Dame and Oklahoma State, he became an ESPN analyst, and also hosted a number of sports talk radio shows. He has since done similar work with both CBS Sports before moving to his current home at FOX Sports.
As well-known as he is, Gottlieb does not have experience as a college coach. However, his father was a longtime basketball coach and coached at UW-Milwaukee. Gottlieb has coached in the Maccabiah Games.
As a player, Gottlieb is Oklahoma State’s all-time assist leader. He is 10th in the NCAA in career assists with 947.
