Sean Miller, Will Wade will not have to testify at corruption trial
Embattled Arizona coach Sean Miller and LSU coach Will Wade actually got some good news in the ongoing trial concerning corruption in college basketball.
The proceedings and associated wiretaps had raised questions about whether Miller and Wade were taking bribes or paying players, but federal judge Edgardo Ramos said Friday that the question was not relevant to the case against former consultants Christian Dawkins and Merl Code.

Judge Edgardo Ramos reserved the right to change his mind but it doesn't look like jury will hear recordings of Miller or see him testify

Judge Ramos ruled this morning that Sean Miller and Will Wade do not have to testify in next week’s FBI trial.
He granted the government’s motion to preclude them from testifying.

This is undoubtedly good news for both coaches, who have both been accused of breaking NCAA rules during the recruitment process. In Wade’s case, it got him suspended, but he was recently reinstated. The allegations against Miller are a bit older, but no less scandalous. If there was wrongdoing, though, it appears that this trial won’t be where it’s outed.
