ESPN sideline reporter Tori Petry got absolutely decimated by Kansas State quarterback Avery Johnson during Saturday’s game.
With 17 seconds to go before halftime, Petry appeared to be preparing for a halftime interview with Baylor coach Dave Aranda when Johnson was shoved late by a Baylor defender. Johnson’s forward momentum took him right into Petry and resulted in a full-blown collision.

Full credit to Petry. She got right up and wound up conducting the halftime interview as scheduled, showing no ill effects from the collision.
Such is the life of working the sidelines during a competitive football game. Sometimes players leave the field of play and you have to keep your head on a swivel. Unfortunately, injuries are unavoidable at times.
Petry wound up reporting on a very exciting game. Baylor staged a late comeback in the 4th quarter to escape with a 35-34 home victory.
