Kelly Bryant tells media he won’t take off helmet during interviews until after camp
Missouri quarterback Kelly Bryant wants to do things his own way in his lone season with the Tigers, and that apparently extends to the way he will be conducting press conferences for the remainder of preseason camp.
Bryant chose to keep his helmet on while meeting with the media on Friday. When asked about it, he simply said he is not going to show his face until the last day of camp. Why? Because he wants to be “different,” apparently.

Alright then.
Bryant transferred to Missouri from Clemson, and he is expected to be the team’s starting quarterback after Drew Lock left for the NFL. Missouri’s football program has been banned from postseason play following an academic misconduct investigation, but Bryant chose to remain with the team despite having just one year of eligibility left. He also said the Tigers will be plenty motivated even without the prospect of playing in a bowl game or the College Football Playoff.

As for the helmet during interviews, we really don’t know what’s going on there. It’s probably safe to assume that’s the way Bryant wants it.
