Deion Sanders is still leaning into his NFL connections at Colorado, this time by handing out a scholarship offer to the son of a legendary player.

Brayden Bailey, the son of Hall of Fame cornerback Champ Bailey, confirmed on X that he has received a scholarship offer from the Buffaloes. Brayden Bailey is a 2028 recruit, and this is his first scholarship offer, according to Adam Munsterteiger of 247 Sports.

Blessed to receive my first offer from The University of Colorado Boulder!🦬🦬 #buffs @DeionSanders @champbailey @CoachPerrotta @RecruitGeorgia @PrepRedzoneGA @On3Recruits @Rivals @247recruiting pic.twitter.com/DRNdRon0IR

Like his father, Bailey is a cornerback, and plays high school football at Holy Innocents Episcopal in Atlanta, Ga.

Bailey was accompanied by his father Champ, who was visiting Colorado’s campus last week. The Buffs’ official X account shared video of Champ Bailey addressing the team during his visit.

The elder Bailey is regarded as one of the best cornerbacks ever to play in the NFL. He played 15 NFL seasons, 10 of them for the Denver Broncos, and was named first-team All-Pro three times. He and Sanders were actually teammates during Sanders’ lone season with Washington in 2000.

Sanders has eagerly tabbed a number of former star players for his coaching staff since arriving in Colorado. It only makes sense that he would take a long look at recruits with an NFL bloodline as well.
