Andy Moeller assault 911 call paints disturbing picture

The woman who accused Cleveland Browns offensive line coach Andy Moeller of assault over the weekend began her 911 call by telling a dispatcher Moeller “tried to strangle me and beat me up.”

The call, which was released on Tuesday along with the police report from the incident, contains some disturbing allegations. The woman identified herself as “Sandy” and said Moeller was her fiance. She told the dispatcher that she believed Moeller may have been drinking and that he told her to “shut up” when she was on the phone with her son.

“I hate to do this to him, but you know what, I’m glad I made it out of there in time,” she said. “I kept telling him to stop and it’s not a good move on his part.”

The alleged victim was adamant about not wanting to go to the police station and instead finding a hotel. She became more frantic when the dispatcher told her officers would want to take her in to file a report.

“I kept telling him to stop and not to hurt me!” Sandy said. “I kept saying stop. At least I got out of that house.”

When asked if Moeller has ever been violent in the past, the woman said that he has.

“Yeah. I hate to say that, but yeah, sure.”

You can hear the audio of the call at Cleveland.com. According to the police report, Moeller may face charges despite the alleged victim later telling police she wants to drop the case. Her name and Moeller’s name are redacted from the report.

Even if the charges are dropped, the Browns may decide to part ways with Moeller. He has had multiple legal issues over the year, which you can read about here.
