Brock Osweiler reportedly likely to start for Broncos
The Denver Broncos look set to stick with Brock Osweiler at quarterback against the Washington Redskins, and not necessarily by choice.
Mike Klis of 9News reported Friday that “all signs point” to Osweiler getting the nod on Sunday ahead of Paxton Lynch, who is not seen as ready to start and play a full game.
The Broncos want to see Lynch, but his sprained right ankle is still an issue, and Denver is not going to force it if he isn’t completely ready.
Osweiler had a fine game off the bench against Indianapolis a week ago. More importantly, between injuries to Lynch and Trevor Siemian, he’s the only completely healthy option on the Denver roster at this point. He’s basically the default choice right now, whether the Broncos like it or not.
