Brooke Hogan’s ex-boyfriend Phil Costa retires from NFL
It’s been a rough six months for Phil Costa.
The guy broke up with Brooke Hogan, barely played last season, and now he’s retiring from the NFL.
The Indianapolis Colts announced on Monday that they are placing the center on the reserve-retired list.
“Phil feels it’s in his best interest to retire from the game,” said Colts General Manager Ryan Grigson. “We certainly understand and wish him nothing but the best.”
Costa was with the Cowboys from 2010-2013, but he only played in six games over the past two seasons. He signed a two-year, $2.7 million deal with the Colts in March, so it’s strange that he’s decided to quit a month later. This is entirely personal speculation, but maybe he’s dealing with some medical issues that are making it tough for him to play, so he’s decided to retire.
Costa really didn’t come on our radar until last year when we saw that he became engaged to Hulk Hogan’s famous, attractive daughter. The two broke up in November after Brooke realized they had moved too fast too soon. Hulk actually seemed pretty pleased over that development. Rough year for Phil.
