Cole Beasley sent an interesting tweet on Friday about the Dallas Cowboys’ release of Dez Bryant.
Earlier in the day, the Cowboys announced their decision to release wide receiver Bryant, a move that freed up nearly $9 million in cap space.
Following the news, Cowboys defensive players Taco Charlton and Jaylon Smith took to their respective Twitter accounts to show Bryant some love. One Twitter user wondered why members of the Dallas offense hadn’t sent similar tributes to Bryant.
Paging @TerranceWill2 @Switz @tfrederick72 @dak @EzekielElliott @thegob70 @JasonWitten @Bease11 You all planning on saying goodbye to Dez like half the defensive players? Or you all got gag orders?

One of the players, Beasley, responded twice with statements that leave a lot to the imagination.
I don’t have to post it all on social media for some validation with u guys. Ask @DezBryant about me.

I’ll say somethin I shouldn’t have and be next.

No one but Beasley knows what exactly he meant with his choice of wording. However, his “I’ll say somethin I shouldn’t have and be next” message could be interpreted to mean that being outspoken could get you cut from the Cowboys. Or it could be Beasley choosing to go the silent route instead of making a comment that could be inflammatory.
It’s clear Beasley does not want to say anything to put his standing (or status) with the team in jeopardy, and it’s tough to argue with him on that. As for Bryant, he’s already being recruited by an All-Pro cornerback of a team who could use talented receiver, so we can probably expect him to find work sooner rather than later.
