Daniel Jones reaches agreement with Giants on rookie contract
Daniel Jones is expected to be in camp with the New York Giants’ rookies when they begin things on Tuesday, according to a report.
Jones has reached an agreement in principle with the Giants on his contract on Monday, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reports.
The #Giants rookies will be on the field tomorrow and their rookie QB Daniel Jones will be with them. Right on time. Jones gets his entire signing bonus in Year 1, I’m told. https://t.co/R4ov3KOu8t

The Giants made Jones the No. 6 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Despite such a high investment in him, the team plans to start Eli Manning at quarterback.
When Jones does get his chance to play, he will face intense scrutiny. The Giants were widely mocked for picking Jones No. 6 in the draft, which critics thought was a reach.
