After missing the playoffs during his time with the Las Vegas Raiders and the New York Jets, Davante Adams is in a much better position to win a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams.
He can only hope that some of his former teammates can experience the same.
The 33-year-old Adams was asked by Kay Adams on “Up & Adams” whether he had spoken with Raiders star pass rusher Maxx Crosby lately. With Crosby and the Raiders going just 3–14 during the 2025 NFL season, Adams said he was giving his former Las Vegas teammates some time, though he admitted he has kept in touch with Crosby and other Raiders players.
“I have been kind of letting them breathe a little bit, but I’ve been in his ear a little bit this year, just kind of checking on my guy, few of my guys over there,” Adams shared.
“Him, Tre Tucker, that’s another one of my guys over there as well. DJ Turner, I’ve been checking on all my guys over there, just making sure that they’re good and in a good headspace.”
The six-time Pro Bowl wideout also denied directly recruiting Crosby or any of his former Raiders teammates.
“The recruiting is in what we’re doing, Adams said. “You know what we put on tape every week. So these guys are definitely seeing what we doing and I don’t sign checks and I don’t make decisions, but we’re doing our job over here by what we’re putting on tape to make it look, you know, appetizing enough to want to come join us. So that’s my recruiting.”
Adams spent nearly three full seasons with the Raiders and was then traded to the New York Jets in 2024.
That stint with the Jets didn’t work out well either for him, but his decision to take his talents to Inglewood with the Rams has clearly rejuvenated his career, as he looks to help Los Angeles get past another playoff opponent and take a step closer to a Super Bowl appearance.
The Rams defeated the Carolina Panthers in the NFC Wild Card Round and will face the Chicago Bears on Sunday in an NFC Divisional Round showdown at Soldier Field in Chicago, Ill.
