Jameis Winston being shut down for a few weeks to rest shoulder
Jameis Winston is reportedly being shut down a few weeks to rest his injured shoulder.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter shares the report about Winston, saying the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will let the QB rest a few weeks.
Winston started and played on Sunday in Tampa Bay’s loss to New Orleans. However, he was replaced by Ryan Fitzpatrick at halftime due to his shoulder. Winston was 7 of 13 for 67 yards prior to leaving the game.
Winston has been bothered by his shoulder for a good part of the season. He injured it against the Cardinals on Oct. 15 and was replaced by Fitzpatrick in that game. He then re-injured the shoulder a few weeks later.
Winston is not playing up to expectations entering the season, and his bad shoulder is likely the reason for it.
