Ryan Fitzpatrick replaces injured Jameis Winston at quarterback for Bucs
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston was benched with an injury at the start of the second half of the team’s game against the New Orleans Saints and replaced by Ryan Fitzpatrick.
The Buccaneers confirmed that Winston was dealing with a shoulder injury — which has lingered for weeks — and was considered questionable to return.
#Bucs say Jameis Winston is questionable to return with a shoulder injury. Admitted this week he's had pain, but said he was feeling better.

Winston originally injured the shoulder three weeks ago, and recently re-aggravated the problem. Apparently it had gotten to the point where it wasn’t worth playing through anymore. He’d gone 7-for-13 with 67 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions in the first half, and the struggling Buccaneers were down 16-3 to New Orleans when they went into the locker room.
