Jeff Fisher signs two-year contract extension with Rams
Several NFL coaches are on the hot seat heading down the stretch of the 2016 season, but Jeff Fisher is apparently not one of them.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Fisher has signed a two-year extension with the Los Angeles Rams.
Sources: #Rams coach Jeff Fisher has, in fact, signed a contract extension. The long-discussed deal is believed to be for 2 years.

Rapoport added that Fisher actually agreed to the terms of the new deal during the preseason and signed it at some point during the season.
For obvious reasons, the move is not going to sit well with Rams fans. The team has not had a winning season since 2003 and is all but certain to finish with a losing record yet again in 2016. Fisher is in his fifth season with the Rams and has won seven games in three of his seasons and went 6-10 in the other.
Most recently, Fisher embarrassed himself by not knowing some important details about his upcoming opponent. With rookie Jared Goff now starting and the team in a new location, Rams fans want to feel optimistic about the future. It’s hard to do that when one of the losingest coaches in NFL history just inked a new deal.
