Jets host 2-time All-Pro for tryout
The New York Jets are hosting another player with the NFL’s new kickoff rules in mind.
Former All-Pro kick returner Jakeem Grant will attend minicamp this week with the Jets on a tryout basis, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Grant spent the last two seasons with the Cleveland Browns. He suffered a knee injury during the preseason last year and did not play at all during the regular season.
The 31-year-old Grant was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in 2016 and spent six seasons there before being traded to the Chicago Bears in 2021. Grant made the Pro Bowl as a returner in his lone season with the Bears and was named a Second-team All-Pro for the second time.
The Jets have been taking the NFL’s new kickoff format seriously. They also signed a dynamic former Pro Bowl running back last month whom they believe can help them in that department.
