JJ Watt was taken away from the field on a cart after suffering a leg injury during “Sunday Night Football.”
Watt exited the game in the first quarter of the Houston Texans’ contest against the Kansas Chiefs after getting hurt on a third down stop that preceded a field goal. He was being double-teamed and seemed to get his legs crossed up as he was rushing the passer.
NBC showed Watt in obvious pain being helped off and later carted into the locker room. He was not putting weight on his left leg.

Watt was later ruled out for the game, joining Whitney Mercilus who was also injured on Kansas City’s opening drive.
