Massachusetts governor wears ‘Free Brady’ T-shirt during Ice Bucket Challenge
Massachusetts governor Charlie Baker is doing everything he can to ensure that he retains the support of his local constituents. And the easiest way to do that? By wearing a T-shirt expressing support for scapegoated Boston sports hero Tom Brady, of course!
The Republican governor was spotted on Monday donning a “Free Brady” tee while participating in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge at the state capitol building.

Government spending. Immigration. Climate change. Healthcare. Social Security. Deflategate. Governor Charlie Baker taking the hardline stances on the hot button issues.
At this point, it has become fairly obvious that the NFL and Commissioner Roger Goodell unfairly singled out Brady in upholding his four-game suspension for his alleged role in Deflategate. Now, it’s great to see that some of our high-ranking public servants feel the same way.
As the Patriots quarterback now looks to take the case to federal court, a little gubernatorial support could never hurt.
That’s one surefire way to get the Baker re-election campaign off and running in The Bay State. But what ever happened to the executive branch remaining insulated from the fickle waves of public opinion?
Always crowd-pleasers these politicians are, I guess. Also, the Ice Bucket Challenge is still a thing? All that frigid water is probably really good for destroying cell phones.
