49ers’ Matt Breida to be game-time decision
San Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida will be a game-time decision Sunday.
Breida, who injured his knee last Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, is taking a long-term view on his recovery from the injury and says he will not play if he does not feel comfortable.
#49ers RB Matt Breida (questionable/knee) said he’ll be a game-time decision: “I’ve got to feel comfortable. It’s a long season.”

The fact that Breida even has a chance of playing is a relief for the 49ers. His injury looked very serious when it happened, and with the team already down a running back after Jerick McKinnon’s preseason injury, there were serious fears about the state of San Francisco’s backfield. He ultimately did return to the game, but clearly isn’t 100 percent.
