One of the most notable aspects of the NFL draft is the tight embraces commissioner Roger Goodell shares with the players upon their selection. As LBS writer Sawley Vickrey said, there’s a lot of irony to that moment. “Best part of the draft experience is hugging Roger Goodell, the guy you’ll soon be calling an a**hole.” Precisely. That’s why not only is it weird to see Goodell and the players share massive man hugs, but it was even weirder to see him bust out a secret handshake with one of them.

Yup, Goodell and former South Carolina defensive lineman Melvin Ingram did some serious handslapping after Ingram was selected by the Chargers 18th overall.
