Michael Vick reportedly torches LeSean McCoy in 40-yard race
Michael Vick may have had an incredibly disappointing season with the Philadelphia Eagles last year, but that does not necessarily mean he has lost a step. On Tuesday, Vick and running back LeSean McCoy reportedly raced during practice. Guess who won.
Vick just beat Shady in a 40 yard race. @mikevick

According to Pro Football Talk, the friendly sprint had been a long time coming. A league source told PFT that McCoy had been hounding Vick for weeks and calling him an “old man.” Vick finally agreed to race him and supposedly beat him by about five yards, much to the enjoyment of their Eagles teammates.
McCoy is by no means slow. He’s one of the most athletic running backs in the league and has good breakaway speed. He’s also 24 years old and Vick is 32, which explains the whole “old man” thing. Vick later taunted the former Pitt Panther on Twitter.
So today at the field 1 of my teammates called me old & bagged to race me in the 40yd dash. Anybody want to guess which player? #BirdGang

Chip Kelly has yet to make a decision on who his starting quarterback will be in 2013, but it has to be a good sign that Vick still has the explosiveness that has made him one of the most dangerous playmakers in the league. That speed could turn out to be a valuable weapon in Kelly’s spread offense.
