Nick Foles has done a fine job stepping in for Carson Wentz and helping guide the Philadelphia Eagles to the NFC championship game, but he hasn’t exactly lit the world on fire. Could an elbow injury be part of the reason why?
There has been plenty of talk lately about the status of Foles’ elbow.
NFL reporter Adam Caplan referenced Foles’ elbow in a tweet on Sunday, saying that it “seems fine these days.”
#Eagles QB Nick Foles dealt with a right elbow (flexor tendon) issue during the entire offseason (also dealt with same issue with Chiefs last season), but seems fine these days. Conditions certainly favorable for passing tonight. #MINvsPHI

NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo also talked about Foles’ elbow this weekend and said the QB has had ongoing issues with it.
On GMFB, @MikeGarafolo said that from what he has been told, Nick Foles has had ongoing issues with the elbow that he injured in training camp, but that it hasn’t been a major issue to this point.

David Chao, who bills himself on social media as “Pro Football Doc” because of his ability to diagnose injuries as he sees them on video, wrote an article on Sunday in the San Diego Union-Tribune wondering about the status of Foles’ elbow. He questions whether Foles has tendonitis in his elbow or something more, such as ligament damage.
Whether Foles is healthy or not, he certainly has not had success making big throws this season. Rotoworld’s Evan Silva says Foles is only 2-for-15 on throws of 20-plus yards this season.
