Nick Foles said after Thursday night’s preseason game between the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots that he thought he was fine, and it looks like he was right.
NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport says that tests showed Foles is “OK” and is not expected to need a prolonged recovery period.

Foles was hurt on a strip sack returned for a touchdown in the second quarter of the game. Adrian Clayborn hit Foles in his throwing shoulder, which caused concern. The Eagles later said Foles was questionable to return to the game with a shoulder strain.
Foles could be in line to start in the Eagles’ opener against Atlanta on Sept. 6 depending on Carson Wentz’s status. Nate Sudfeld is their No. 3 QB.
