Report: Raiders among teams interested in Antonio Brown

There may be several coaches in the NFL who would be concerned about adding Antonio Brown to their locker room, but it does not sound like Jon Gruden is one of them.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that the Oakland Raiders are among several teams who are part of a “developing” market for Brown.

If we know one thing about Gruden, it’s that he is not afraid to make a blockbuster trade. He traded star pass-rusher Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears almost immediately after he returned as the coach of the Raiders last year, and he later sent Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys. Oakland now has a plethora of additional draft picks — including three first-rounders this year — as a result of those deals.

Even with all the distractions he created in Pittsburgh, it makes sense that Brown is starting to draw more trade interest. He remained incredibly productive last season with 1,297 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns and is considered one of the hardest-working players in the league. The Raiders may not be the most exciting team we have heard Brown linked to, but they are a sensible option.
