Report: Takk McKinley will not be fined for draft day F-bomb

Takk McKinley

New Falcons pass rusher Takkarist McKinley provided one of the memorable moments of this year’s NFL Draft, one that could have cost him some money. It reportedly won’t.

After being selected No. 26 overall, McKinley went to the podium on the stage with a framed picture of his grandmother. McKinley also gave an extremely passionate speech in which he talked about a promise he made to her before she passed away. Here is a portion of it.

McKinley also said, “That means every f—ing thing to me. Excuse my language. Fine me later, man. Fine me later, man. This means everything to me. Everything to me!”

The 21-year-old product of UCLA immediately became a favorite of not only Falcons fans, but nearly everyone who saw the extremely emotional moment. The next question was, whether or not McKinley would be fined for what he said. According NFL Network’s, Ian Rapoport, McKinley will not be disciplined.

Those who are fortunate to be drafted are realizing a dream that has been achieved through tremendous sacrifice. The result is often a few scenes throughout the seven rounds that capture the hearts of Amercia. Takk McKinley certainly did that last Thursday.
