Seahawks reportedly releasing Brandon Browner
The Seattle Seahawks are folding up the welcome back carpet just as quickly as they rolled it out.
According to a report by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network on Monday, the Seahawks are releasing cornerback Brandon Browner.
The #Seahawks are cutting CB Brandon Browner, source said. The homecoming didn't work out.

Browner, 32, had just signed a one-year deal to return to the team in April. He was previously with the Seahawks from 2011 to 2013 and was a core member of the original Legion of Boom, winning Super Bowl XLVIII with them in 2014 (though he was barred from playing in the game itself due to a substance-abuse suspension).
The Pro Bowler would go on to help defeat the Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX as a New England Patriot and recorded 76 combined tackles for the New Orleans Saints last season.
But Browner’s regression in one-on-one coverage has been glaring as of late, and it’s no coincidence that the Seahawks are now the third team to show him the door in the last two years. He won’t have nearly as much money to take and run with this time around.
