Sebastian Janikowski is set to meet with the Seattle Seahawks this week, according to a report.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Monday that Janikowski will fly to Seattle for a meeting with the Seahawks on Tuesday Janikowski played his entire career with the Oakland Raiders until they released him following the season.
The 40-year-old free agent kicker did not play last season as he had back surgery, leading the Raiders to use Giorgio Tavecchio as their kicker. They decided to stick with him over the more expensive Janikowski entering the 2018 season.
Despite his age, Janikowski remained a top kicker in 2016. He made 26 of 27 kicks from under 50 yards, though he missed two extra points. He went 3 for 8 on kicks of 50 yards or more and has one of the best legs in the league.
