Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater went down with a knee injury on Tuesday, and it was serious enough that the coaches called off practice because of it.
According to ESPN’s Ben Goessling, Bridgewater suffered a non-contact injury to his left knee. He immediately went to the ground in pain and his teammates dropped to a knee. Multiple reports indicate the injury appears to be serious.
Bad scene. Bridgewater down in pocket grabbing left knee. Players freaked out, swearing and praying. Immobilized. Practice halted #Vikings

Teddy Bridgewater just went down with an apparent injury and the #Vikings ended practice. Looks serious.

Losing Bridgewater would be devastating to a Vikings team that was easily one of the most improved in football last year. Head coach Mike Zimmer has clearly been trying to protect Bridgewater, as evidenced by the unexplained decision he made earlier this month. We can only hope the injury was just a major scare, but early reports do not sound good.
