
Tom Brady almost certainly had the health of his mother on his mind before the New England Patriots played the Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl last year, but he should feel more at ease with that situation heading into the big game this year.
According to an update issued on NFL Network’s “NFL GameDay” Sunday morning, Brady’s mother Galynn’s latest scan revealed that she remains cancer-free.

It wasn’t until after New England’s remarkable comeback in last year’s Super Bowl that the Patriots confirmed Brady’s mother had been undergoing radiation and chemotherapy. Brady said in the days after the game that the prognosis for his mother was good, and it sounds like the Brady family has gotten more good news a year later.
