Vikings trade up to draft Dalvin Cook
The Minnesota Vikings have identified the player they want to serve as Adrian Peterson’s replacement.
The Vikings traded with the Cincinnati Bengals to move up in the second round of the NFL Draft and take Dalvin Cook.
Cook dropped out of the first round because of his character issues, which you can read about here.
Cook rushed for over 1,000 yards in all three seasons he spent at Florida State, scoring 20 touchdowns each of the past two seasons.
The Vikings traded the No. 48 overall pick and a 4th-round pick to Cincinnati to move up to the 41st spot to take Cook.
Minnesota also signed Latavius Murray during the offseason, so they will have two quality backs entering the season.
