Zach Wilson sitting on Jets’ bench gets meme treatment
Zach Wilson is an often-mocked player when he’s on the field, and Sunday was no exception.
Wilson struggled during his New York Jets’ loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2. There was one particular moment he had on the bench that drew the memes.
Wilson was sitting on the bench during the second quarter looking straight ahead, with his hands interlocked on top of his helmet.

Wilson was filling in for the injured Aaron Rodgers, getting his first start of the season for the Jets. The game quickly turned into what is all too common of a performance from the former No. 2 overall draft pick: more turnovers than touchdowns. Wilson went 12/27 for 170 yards with 1 touchdown and 3 interceptions.
The Jets have said they will be sticking with Wilson as their starting quarterback while Rodgers is out. But Sunday’s bad game against the Cowboys may lead them to consider other options.
