Adam Scott says he has a girlfriend, so forget ‘The Bachelor’
Adam Scott skyrocketed in popularity after winning the Masters last weekend, and it didn’t take him long to win over the hearts of women all over the world. Scott’s good looks already had him in consideration to become the next “Bachelor” on ABC’s dating show. Unfortunately for all his wishful female fans, the 32-year-old Australian golfer said during an interview with CBS Wednesday that he is not single (3:04 mark):
“That’s all quite embarrassing … flattering,” Scott said of the attention. “But I’m not single at all. I am very much in a relationship and very happy at the moment.”
Scott also said his girlfriend’s name is Marie, which has left many to believe he is back with Marie Kojzar, who was mentioned in a 2008 SI profile about him.
The article stated that Scott and Kojzar, who is from Sweden, had been dating on and off for seven years. She was in London studying to be an architect, and Scott said at the time that he could not imagine having a family while playing on the golf tour. In a January, 2011 Golf Digest article, Scott said they had split up because their lives were moving apart. Apparently they’ve gotten back together.
So, sorry, ladies. The most eligible bachelor is not even a bachelor. Looks like you’ll just have to wait for another highly-skilled professional athlete with good looks, good teeth, good hair, nice arms, and an Australian accent to come along.
