Davante Adams reportedly requests trade from Raiders
For the second time in fewer than three years, Davante Adams is asking for a trade.
Adams on Tuesday informed the Las Vegas Raiders that he would like to be traded, according to Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL Media. Rapoport added that no trade is imminent and there are “plenty of scenarios” where Adams would remain in Las Vegas, but the six-time Pro Bowl receiver has made his preference clear.

The news does not come as a surprise given the events that have unfolded over the past week. Adams once again became the subject of trade rumors when he was seen looking frustrated on the sideline during the Raiders’ Week 3 loss to the Carolina Panthers. He then suffered a hamstring injury in practice last week and did not play in Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
A report on Tuesday then said the Raiders have begun reaching out to teams to gauge interest in potential trades for Adams.
Adams also hinted at some issues with Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce during an interview on Tuesday.
Adams was traded to the Raiders from the Green Bay Packers after the 2021 season. He forced his way to Las Vegas because he wanted to play with Derek Carr, who was his teammate in college at Fresno State. The Raiders moved on from Carr after the 2022 season, and Adams has since indicated that he regrets forcing a trade.
If the Raiders do wind up shopping Adams, there is at least one team that would make a lot of sense as a possible suitor.
